Eight principles for a united, just and prosperous Somalia

Xisbiga Ogaal was founded in Mogadishu in 2026 by scholars and community leaders who studied the challenges facing Somalia in depth, carried out extensive research, and then prepared a roadmap out of them.

Every policy we put forward is tested against eight guiding principles:

1. Peace, stability and self-reliance, with dependable consultation.
2. Justice and responsibility for the interests of every citizen.
3. The rule of law.
4. Strengthening the unity of the Somali people to secure national unity.
5. A constitution agreed by consensus.
6. A federal system that works for citizens.
7. Fighting corruption.
8. Economic self-sufficiency.
