Who we are

Xisbiga Ogaal is a national political party working for comprehensive change in Somalia: justice, security, livelihoods, economic growth, good governance and the full rights of citizenship. It was founded in Mogadishu by scholars and community leaders who examined the country's problems closely, carried out in-depth research, and prepared the roadmap for overcoming them.

Ogaal is a party of a programme before personalities. It is built on knowledge, research and reliable data, and it is accountable for four commitments to the Somali people.

Peace and security
Peace, stability and self-reliance, built on consultation that Somalis can trust.
Justice and the rule of law
Justice for every citizen: no one above the law, and institutions that apply it equally.
An economy that stands on its own
An economy that creates opportunity and relies on its own strength, with Somali enterprise at its centre.
Government that answers to citizens
